I have assumed my duties as Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Constanta as of September 15, 2025. It is an honour to serve in this beautiful port city of our friend, ally, and Black Sea neighbor Romania, and in one of the oldest Consulates General of our country.

Our area of ​​responsibility includes, in addition to Constanta, the cities of Calarasi, Galati, Braila, and Tulcea. We are at your disposal to provide all kinds of assistance to our citizens living in the region, to the Turkish community, and to all applicants, within the framework of relevant legislation, and within the confines of our ​​responsibilities and authority. You are always welcome to our Consulate General and are kindly invited to share your opinions, suggestions, and expectations with us directly through the Consulate’s contact numbers or social media accounts.

We aim at contributing to the further development of excellent relations and cooperation between our two countries in this part of Romania, which constitutes a significant historic, commercial, economic, transportation, and cultural bond. We call on our citizens and kinspeople to work hand in hand with our Consulate General on this path.

We will spare no efforts to continue the strong cooperation we have had with local authorities to preserve the social and cultural values ​​of our Turkish-Tatar relatives in our region, who form the deep-rooted ties between our two countries. In this context, I would like to once again express our gratitude to the Romanian authorities for their principled stance and tolerant approach.

Constanța, a major port on the Black Sea, plays an increasingly important role in Turkish-Romanian connectivity. With its location linking Europe and Türkiye which stands at the crossroads of three continents, Constanta stands to make valuable contributions to the city, and to the Romanian and Turkish economies. Indeed, Turkish business people are increasingly investing in the region. Together with our Commercial Attaché, we will continue to support the activities of Turkish and Romanian business people.

As our great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said, our “youth and students, to whom we will entrust our future” are of particular importance for us. We believe that students from Türkiye here as well as students in Türkiye from this region who take advantage of educational opportunities in each other’s country will expand their own development and contribute to the relations between the two countries.
